Last year the baseball season was canceled with all SEC teams, on average, having played 16 games. Florida led the way at 16-0, Bama was in second place in the conference at 15-1. I could see the improvement in the Tide in spite of not being able to see them in SEC play.
I see the pre-season polls not including Alabama and in a sense I get why: they are still considering the 2019 team that finished a few games over .500 overall, barely over .200 in SEC play.
There are literally two different stories here. I wouldn't rank a team that was a seven win SEC team like Alabama was in '19. I would, however, consider the improvement seen in a short time last season.
My point? This team, as reflected in this thread, is under ranked.
Just as Coach Bo has stated, "this is the most complete Bama team he's had since he's been in Tuscaloosa."
