SEC announces plan if conference championship game is cancelled
The 2020 College Football season has certainly been an interesting one. Players opting out, conferences cancelling seasons, games getting postponed, rescheduled or even scratched all together.
With numbers surging and more games beig cancelled, a plan is in place for the SEC if the conference championhip game is not played.
Plans for most conferences were revealed to ESPN, which then noted that considering all the dates, a College Football Playoff bracket of four should be set by Dec. 20.
Meaning, if Alabama wins the SEC West, and Florida wins the SEC East, both the Crimson Tide and the Gators will be named co-champions.
Currently, the SEC Championship Game is scheduled for Dec. 19 in Atlanta, Georgia.
