It was passed along to me yesterday that Al Davis has a man crush on Rolando, and as of yesterday, the Raiders were 50/50 on taking him with their first pick. Hopefully, for selfish reasons anyway, he will fall to the Broncos or Titans, who also like him... but it will be interesting to see how it unfolds.

In related news, the NY Jets are in love with Kareem Jackson, and are more than willing to select him late in the 1st round. The Jets GM personally sat down with Jackson in Tuscaloosa over dinner the night before UA's Pro-Day. The Steelers and Cardinals have also shown interest.

Cody is a bit of a mystery.* Word isn't as solid on him...* some teams like his potential, others don't.* Some see him as Andre Smith all over again... all the way down to the agent.* The Chargers have shown a lot of interest, and he fits well with them...* but it's just been hard to find any particular team(s) that are drooling over him heading into the draft, unlike Rolo and Kareem.

I'm with you in the sense that the franchise is a wreck, but I would get a chill seeing Ro in the silver and black. He could give that D an instant "personality".

I kept screaming at the TV, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO !!!! Not the Raiders, that is the black hole of NFL teams. Al "the krypt keeper" Davis has completely destroyed that fanchise.

but in the same breathe, if Ro is happy then we can be happy for him. We can cheer for him and not cheer for the Raiders.

I'm a huge Raider fan, so i'm loving it.
Al Davis has made some awful picks the last few years, i was surprised he went with McClain, who's not a workout warrior type.
Actually, the Raiders whole draft seemed much smarter than usual, maybe Al is finally letting others help make the picks.
