Woops, just realized the title should read "uncharted" waters.
Hello to the board, great group here. Some might recognize me as a Tidefans reject, it's good to see some familiar handles again.
As a Bama fan, I've been hungry for any sign that Saban felt a measure of fondness for our program. His bug-eyes over the A-Day welcome party we threw for him was a very good start. And there's been plenty of positive from him ever since.
But we Bama fans want everyone to appreciate our program is better than sliced bread...better than any other program, period. And that goes double for our head coach (who is busting his tail making that statement true.)
So now we have the first Saban record set only at Bama...his first ever two consecutive ten-win seasons.
The longstanding joke with Bama fans is that even a decent coach can hit the ten win plateau at Bama. So for Saban to hit two in a row is certainly not the ultimate achievement for him, but it's a nice start.
I'm certain Saban credits himself and his team as those responsible, but I'd like to think he's also growing an appreciation for the Bama magic.
