And pardon the Auburn content for a second. I can only smirk, shake my head in agreement, and say, "knew it."

Here's a copy and paste of something I just ran across on another forum.

______

"My teams have taken on my personality in the past, and I think we sort of had four or five different personalities last year, all the different coaches' personalities. That's on me. That's my fault. You live and learn, and I learned the hard way last year." - Gus

This is a reference to Dameyune Craig.

In unison, repeat after me. "No shit, Sherlock."

Boom, Craig, Garner, Gus, Lance ... who DIDN'T see this coming (except those to the SW of Tuscaloosa?)

Enjoy it while it lasts ... won't be much longer 'til we see yet another change on the plains.

I wanted them to keep TT forever. And then what's his name? Oh yeah, Cheez-it. I was wrong. Gus will suffice! Reminds me of Gerry Faust at ND.

I can see the comparison, but it stops from HS to college. Faust lost a lot of his games (I think the number was right about half) in the final minutes of those contests. He was managing to pull a few upsets and big wins along the way as well.

Auburn, on the other hand ... over the last two seasons the losses Auburn has had in conference play have been by a little over two touchdowns (average.)

**The thought just crossed my mind ... a Bama win this season puts the Tide at 7-3 over the last decade. That's a repeat of the domination we remember from the '60's and '70's
