🏈 RTB Crashing browser problems?

Am I the only one having problems with RTB causing my browser to crash? I am on my Mac and it is crashing Safari, Firefox, and Opera. It generally happens when a page is loading like when going to page 2 of messages in a thread or opening a message.

Any ideas? RTB seems to be the only site doing it.

I'm having the same problems with Firefox. I actually finished something I'm a little late on, but had the browser crash when I hit the "post" button.

Today is the first time I've had problems with it.

Two guys mentioned it about a week or so ago.

For those using Firefox, it seemed to start with the upgrade to 3.5.2.

Those using Safari had it a few times.

Both situations were resolved when they ran a system update on their MAC.

Terry .....actually still having issues. I would imagine that BamaJay is as well, but I'm sure his new addition to the family has occupied all of his surfing time as of late.

I still have issues as well on my Mac. It did start with the update. Odd thing is...that it is mainly on this site. None of the others I surf seems to be affected.

I just installed all of the latest updates to my OS and Opera crashed on the first message I tried to open. I am trying firefox now.

Maybe my flash player has gotten corrupted or something, I don't know.

I will say that there are scripts on the board that slow systems down...they may have buggy code or something that is crashing me on the Mac.

My desktop system is running Ubuntu 64 with dual monitors, and I won't load RTB when I am using both monitors because it makes my 2.8Ghz /NVidia 9800GT / 2GB ram system virtually unusable because of slowdown.

Firefox just chucked it.

Yeah, major issues and this is the only site doing it. I am crashing a LOT...not just every few days. I am crashing every 5-10 clicks, sometimes less - and only on RTB.

Just to add to what doemasters just said...

I'll just keep an eye out on videos for now...if something comes across ESPN worth watching it'll just be in a thread, not on the right column. (assuming that's the problem.)

I've also got another widget instead of the ticker we had at the top...I'll add that sometime on Thursday's before the games start and then pull it after the weekends are over. That way, when you guys are here you'll still have the ability to see the latest scores immediately.

We *think* we've got this resolved.

If anyone has a problem like this again please notify me or doemasters immediately.

Thanks for your patience guys.

I'm using Vista HP 32-bit with Firefox.....this site hasn't ever crashed me.

Maybe thats the key...Mac and Linux almost never crash, so RTB was crashing them...Vista, well, the reverse affect happened and you didn't crash.

Since they fixed the problem, you can expect your computer crashing to return to its normal schedule.

The question crossed my mind last night after we got off the phone...

Do you surf around ESPN much? IF you have the time, play around on their video section and see if that presents any problems for you.

Since it ends up that all sign appear that video was the problem for you Mac guys...I wonder how easily you can surf around their site.

I've had my computer for over a year & it hasn't crashed yet. I always hear/read about people complaining about Vista...I don't see what the problem is.
