It's week one and we're ready for our 2012 Pick 'em contest.

We play it differently here than most sites so here's a quick look at the "how to play."

You'll see under your username something called BamaBucks. It's a set amount we've given to each member to allow them to "bet" on games each week during the college football season.

On competitive games, like Bama vs Michigan this week, you'll have the option to pick a winner, or you can pick against the spread.

If you bet 1000 and pick the winner, you'll win 1000.

If you choose to pick games against the spread, a winning pick with a bet of 1000 wins 2000. While picking against the spread is more difficult, it also pays more.

Now, with games like LSU vs North Texas we won't offer a "pick the winner." It's too easy.

Psychojoe will have his "PJ's picks" each week covering how he feels about each game so you can follow his advice at your own risk.

Sunday, we'll have an announcement posted will more about the BamaBucks reward system installed. Simply put, just playing the pick 'em game isn't the only way to increase your amounts.

I was ticked off about the A&M game getting canceled yesterday. I had La Tech beating the spread in more than a few places. Now, not so much on either.

Storm just sitting there so I can understand that...and, I don't know what that spread will look like in over a month.

What a great way for an Aggie fan to start their football season. At home, conference game, against Florida. That's going to be an incredible atmosphere!

Terry, did you hear where Kevin Sumlin had suspended a starting LB and Safety for the La Tech game. They will now play next weekend against Florida. Their suspension will be served Oct. 13th when the La Tech game will be rescheduled. He said on ESPN that the 2 knew they wouldn't play in the La Tech game and they weren't being prepared for it so they will sit it out in Oct. He was pushed as to why he just didn't sit them against Florida next week against Florida and he said some BS as to them knowing they were supposed to sit LA Tech game. :bsflag:
