He was in town for Homer Smith's funeral along with several other coaches that worked with Smith when he was at UCLA.

Interesting quote:

I hadn't heard that Bran...he's been in the coaching business for 30+ years...is South Alabama, or some other school, interviewing for OC's? I know Joey considered him down at USA back in '09.
