It's my opinion they we're butthurt, tired of being in the shadows of Texas.

If you recall, alot lead up to this.

Nebraska leaving the Big-XII, all the other conference realignment discussion. PAC-10 and Big-XII didn't have equal revenue sharing, lots of things were in motion. It was very chaotic.

Aggies were opportunitiztic and it paid off for the most part for them. This was more about them separating themselves from Texas, I'm my opinion.
