Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart told Kentucky he was not interested in becoming the Wildcats' next head coach, according to a report from Matt Jones of KentuckySportsRadio.com.
Since he won the 2009 Broyles Award, which goes annually to the nation's top assistant coach, Smart's name has been linked to numerous head coach vacancies throughout the Southeast. Last year, multiple outlets reported that Smart interviewed but eventually withdrew his name from consideration for the head coaching job at Southern Miss.
Smart's currently makes $950,000 per year.

I think he will leave after this year but will come back to be the HC after Saban does retire.

He kind of reminds me of Jim Harbaugh, how intense he is but how close and crazy he acts with the players..I could see him running a similar scheme
