🏈 Report: Bama loses 4-star commit Zach Whitley

Don't lose hope folks. Zach's HS teammate committed to UCLA back in November, I doubt this impacted his decision.

These are the type of flips to be expected when we perform poorly, hard to herd all the sheep when the wolves are nipping at our heels trying to pick one off. IF we had taken care of business in the Sugar Bowl, I think we'd be entering this off-season expecting a lot from recruiting. The way we've been trending lately, I'd not be surprised if we lost another one before Signing day.

What more can we expect from the class we have coming in?

Even with the loss of Whitley, there won't be any classes around collegiate football better than ours. A few on par with ours, sure. But none better.

I understand that fully, but I also understand our necessity for some of these vital pieces we are picking up, and to lose one or two of them wouldn't hurt our recruiting class terribly, it would damage our on the field production a bit though.

If guys like Bo Scarborough, David Cornwell, and Cam Robinson had waited until these all-star games to commit to us, folks would be talking about his this is going to be the greatest finish in recruiting history in the history of histories.

Like Terry said in another thread, Bama had eleven players, then twelve, in the Under Armor game. I'm still hoping that number rises to thirteen.

Call me crazy (many do) but I think the LOSS to Oklahoma could actually help close out this class with a boom. Saban can now honestly go into a home and tell a top recruit that he is going to rebuild and restructure the team, and needs HIM to be a centerpiece of the rebuilding.
