🏈 Remember the 13-year old that Lane Kiffin offered a scholarship to?

This is why I hope that they make the adjustment on when you can make "first contact" with recruits. Waiting until the junior year would change some of the dramatics with these kids.

I dont really agree with that. I mean college coaches shouldnt be talking to 13-year olds but I think its fine for freshman and above. A lot of these kids start going to camps as freshmen and that certainly helps them.

Those of you that are calling Taylor a "bad QB," how many games did you see him play in? Because I dont think the ACC likes to make a habit out of giving "bad QBs" Player of the Year awards...

And as far as completion percentage, that isn't a be-all, end-all stat but you def. need to take into account the talent around him. You're talking about a guy that in his three years starting in the NFL has thrown for AT LEAST 62%. So, either John Harbrough is a QB whisper and he just simply developed Taylor into a solid QB when he was with Baltimore or Taylor was pretty solid to begin with.

I watched Tyrod a few times... He ripped my Broncos up last year. I think he's a solid NFL QB.

In regards to Jalen becoming that... Athleticism is there.... Arm is there... Intelligence is there.... But there are some serious short circuit issues when it comes to progressions and seeing the play before it happens. I actually went to that VT game when Bama blasted them and remember our S/T's dominating that game, like 2 TD returns? Can't really remember Tyrod's downfalls in college but I would agree with whoever says it's the exception to the rule to see a college QB be a better pro than college player. And if Jalen is going to get the live bullets as the main passer it's not going to be at Alabama.... JMO

I'm for the kids going to camps, but I'm not for what follows. The NCAA is now giving the student-athletes 2 years of on-campus visitation. How much human contact does it take to get to know someone? That's a lot of telephone calls, texts, and e-mails. But frankly, I've never understood why it should take 4 years to figure out which school you want to get an education and play sports at. Most of us have long since made a lot more important decisions in less time.

Aaron Rodgers was solid but never a superstar in college. Tom Brady was below average in college and had to share time with a future baseball player. Joe Flacco couldn't beat out some really bad QBs at Pitt and transferred to Delaware. Carson Wentz, Big Ben, etc. weren't "good enough" to get scholarships to major schools.

Considering they've pulled the head coaches off the road for spring evals an extra camp may make up for that. Somewhat.

One thing to consider as well. As much turnover as seen in the assistant ranks it would allow a kid to get to know another position coach if the first one he met has moved along.

I'm sure their high school coaches don't mind more teaching over the summer of these kids Junior years.
