Eight of the past 10 teams to finish No. 1 in Rivals.com's recruiting rankings played for the BCS championship within three years, and seven won the title. The only Rivals No. 1 not to play for a national title within three years was 2006 USC. The Trojans were No. 1 in 2010 so their clock is still ticking.
