šŸˆ Race issues down at Auburn, again? Reese Dismukes is one mentioned

Mountains out of mole hills guys.

The word fits. Did either of those two experience terror?

Terror: Extreme fear.
"istic" as a suffix changes a verb to an adjective and it means to contain characteristic of, or the ability to...

To say that Reese didn't cause fear? Come on now.

You might not like the use of the word here LBS, but it doesn't change the true meaning of the word. Even though it's used especially in political arenas today doesn't mean it was the wrong word.

You don't have to be an artist to do something artistic. You don't have to be an English major to discuss linguistics—as evidenced here in this thread.

uhhhh... i didnt get mad... hes getting mad because a word... that not one single person is trying to use in an offensive way... noone is talking about the military usage of terrorist... yet he continues to take it there and says because he was in the military thats why he takes it there... we all love that you defended our freedom and respect that you were there... but this has NOTHING to do with that. i mean when someone gets arrested for making threats over the internet to someone and they use the term "terroristic threats" do you go into a rage everytime? just stop.

We need the season to get here soon, or we're going to have members here going at each other's throats! Calm down guys, vent at our opponents.

I can say the only time something gets on my nerves on a message forum is obvious attempts at trolling. Other than that, it's just someones opinion. It is truly amusing when some take it to the lengths they do, IE: The Never to Yield Foundation. And I recall thinking Operation Red Dog was just over the top.

Cancer and a Cold are both illness.
Losing a pet and losing a child are both losses.
Losing the office pool and having you home foreclosed on are both financial losses.
Working over time at the office and being killed in Afghanistan are both sacrifies.
Being told someone will hit you and having a global network of religious extremists who seek to punish your wife and children before they have to watch you be beheaded are both terrorism.
9/11 and the scene at McDonalds are both terroric scenes.
This is the logic that follows your view of words/names.

We don't have a war on bullying, or intemidation, or thuggery, or meaness, or assault, or name calling, or being a jackwagon...; but because Terrorism/terroristic/terror is NOT the same thing we have a global war on terror.

That girl did not face terrorist threats, Pat Tillman faced that. This is not a molehill, its speaking for the honor of the dead who's those kids' father just cheapened to equate a childish episode.

We aren't going to see eye to eye on this especially if you consider a situation where violence is threatened and race is a motivating factor for the escalation of tempers a childish episode. Thos stems from hatred and that's far from a episode.

The father is an educated man. He knew using the word "terroristic" would be inflammatory. I've read his comments on Senator Gifford's shooting and those killed in Arizona. He called the shooter there a terrorist.

While his definition of what a terrorist is and what is terroristic may differ from yours it doesn't make his wrong or by any means is dishonoring those who have died in our current conflicts overseas.

Different circumstances sure. Both cases have someone using violence and the threats of violence to create fear.

LBS, no one here makes light of your sacrifices for our country. I applaud you. I ha It is in this politically correct time that we live in now that any threats are now called terrorism. I am a school teacher and I deal with bullying and name calling on a daily basis. It is now written in our handbook that these things are branded terrorism. I don't agree with it but it is what it is.

from my personal experience. Dismukes is a good wakeboarder. He does get carried away with drinking quite often. In fact campus security had to wake him up at 4 am passed out on a dorm lawn last summer. Wasn't his dorm. some of his fellow OL have expresed their concerns about his drinking. Not sure if alcohol was involved in this case but it sure sounds like it.
