🏈 Race issues down at Auburn, again? Reese Dismukes is one mentioned

I remember reading something here about Dismukes a few months ago. I cant remember who said it but it was something about him being a problem for auburn if he was left to go unchecked? does anyone remember that thread? or, does anyone remembe who it was that made the comment about him being a future problem?

i saw this article and thought about that comment...i know the guys here dont care alot for threads about auburn problems and stories unless its game week stuff but this one i'm going to take a chance on.

LANTA, July 22, 2012, 7 p.m. The Atlanta father of two Auburn University students is using social media to get justice for his children who he said were racially harassed and one was sent to jail by two members of the Auburn football team. Henry M. Carter, of Atlanta, says his daughter Shanice Carter, 20, and his son Kenya Carter, 22, were called N-word and his daughter was called a “bitch” by two members of the Auburn University football team, while at a McDonalds Restaurant in Auburn on Saturday morning. According to Redding News Review the father said on Facebook: “Reese Dismukes and another person named Patrick Miller approach them in an aggressive manner. Calling my daughter a Bitch and ******. My son took offense to their aggression and they said they would crush him like they just crushed a CD that was placed on a table.”He said that the two football players were let go and his son, Kenya, was sent to jail for disorderly conduct. Dismukes is considered one of the best football players in the conference. He says his son has been released on $300 bond.
“I called the police station when the incident occurred and voice my disapproval of the discriminatory action of the officer and my intention to file a complaint. I have instructed my daughter to press charges against the football players for making terroristic threats. This is a simple case of racism and I will not let it go by. My son has never been arrested and they will not blemish his good name. DAMN WAR EAGLES!”

A spokesperson for the Auburn Police said that information about the arrest would not be available until Monday morning.
Neither Dismukes nor Miller could be reached for comment.

Hopefully someone will search for that. I remember it had to do with a Heisman conversation that maybe that Auburn guy here posted

I had avoided this thread due to already hearing about the story. Lo and behold, you're talking about something I posted.

Certainly goes to show that the kid lacks maturity. I'm still shaking my head in disgust at his bragging about what happened with Cyrus K. when he was working out in a gym in Mobile.

I can't say I'm shocked. The behavior mentioned in the article here is disgusting. The behavior he exhibited in Mobile? Disgusting.

All that said, if it wasn't the off-season and we had the forums spread out a little more like we do in-season, we'd have moved this to "other sports." For now terrell, don't worry about it.

Reese will get his when he lines across from Jesse Williams in November. That my friends will not be a fun afternoon for the young pirate.

I hate thinking about it due to just how far it could go. If he continues down the road he's on, he'll "get his" off the field one day when he chooses to "pick" on the wrong person.

Poor decisions off the field so often lead to poor decision on the field. Whether fans of Auburn chose to realize this or not, it's a culture created that certainly seems to start from the first recruiting visit and continue on from that point. If read, they'll certainly label me as one upset about kids committing like Foster. It has nothing to do with Foster. We've seen the same actions and behavior before in Knoxville.

And you know the common theme.

I'm far from being one who sees trouble at schools and makes light. Too often, as soon as a fan or fan base does so it comes back to roost in their own yard. However, I can't say I was in the least bit shocked to see who led the Fulmer Cup rankings last year. Again, common theme considering when the Fulmer Cup rankings started.

What happened with him and Cyrus?

Nothing happened between Reese and Cyrus. Reese was openly making fun of Cyrus and about how troubled CK was after his visit and commitment to Auburn in a gym in Mobile. I had already heard the story on CK so the news wasn't new. What it was happened to be a defining statement on what kind of person Dismukes was at that time.

Wow... guarantee 100% if Cyrus was in arms length he wouldnt be openly "making fun" of anyone.

If Cyrus was around Reese wouldn't have brought up the subject.

That said if he did it's my gut instinct Cyrus wouldn't react violently. Then again, I didn't think Nick Gentry was the type to fly off the handle either and he certainly did.

"Calling my daughter a Bitch and ******."
"...they said they would crush him like they just crushed a CD that was placed on a table."
"I have instructed my daughter to press charges against the football players for making terroristic threats."

Tens of thousands of Americans deployed to foreign lands. Thousands killed. Billions spent. All this to fight terrorism, and yet this yahoo thinks the exchange of these words qualifies at terrorism...at McDonalds...in Auburn, Alabama.

Questions: Why would the players be mad enough to utter profanity and racial slurs at a place they serves happy meals to children? What happened leading up to this...that you have not told us?

Question: Why did the players escalate from name calling to threats of physical violence? What happened between the player's two statements? Why was there no action behind the threats? Who/What prevented that from happening?

Question: How is it that terroristic threats are being aired in a public forum and its your son that is arrested?

The picture he painted is this.

Shanice: "Good Morning, and welcome to McDonalds the happiest place on earth. Would you do me the honor of allowing me to take your breakfast order sir?" (big smile with a sparkle flash off her teeth like in the chewing gum commercial)

Reece: "BITCH!!!! N-WORD!!!" (Reece drools on the counter as he throws a Compact Disk across the dining room nearly decapitating a nun, the Dali Lama, and a child on a ventilator.

Kenya: "Please forgive my interuption sir, but your choice of words is not the way that we speak to each other here. Might I respecfully suggest..." (I'm envisioning this coming across like Carlton from Fresh Prince)

Reece: "HULK SMASH!!!" (or something akin to that...with more drooling and perhaps he even breaking wind as a form of gas attack)

Cops: "Carlton, you are under arrest, charges with stealing the name tag of an African nation."

Wow... you seem REALLY angry... please stop bringing the military into this because "terroristic threats" has nothing to do with it... but the dads use of it is also wrong. terroristic threats are typically threats of violence made over the internet. And you're perception of what the dad claims happened... I think you're the only one that got that perception of it... To me it looked like two jackasses got into an argument with another jackass, the two jackasses started making threats and possibly dropping a racial slur, aimed at the other jackass and a female. And it escalated. Simple as that. I know where you're trying to go with this tho...

I'd think most everyone would come to the same conclusion, but how outragous is it that this is not what was pumped into the mediasphere. We both agree that terroristic anything did not deserved to uttered. He's playing any card that he can to drum up drama. I do however reserve the right to be offended by its casual use where it is not warrented, a right I earned in places where they don't have McDonalds.

A man is feels like his daughter was threatened and disrespected, how would you react? You took offense to something that was not said in anyway to be offensive. A "terroristic threat" has NOTHING to do with the military, stop going there. If you dont like that term being used in anything other than overseas terrorists, then I suggest u go take that up with the folks that come up with the laws and the name for the laws.

You a wrong. Totally.
His daughter has disrespectful words shot her way. That is not terroristic, or in anyway related to terror or terrorism...which are close enough to share the same root word so they sure as heck mean similar things.

So thug, bully, punk threated what is essentially to beat them up. The same threats are uttered on school playgrounds every day. This is not terroristic, or in anyway related to terror or terrrism.

Terroristic, terror, terrorism is what you call the military for because Auburn, Alabama's Police Department is not the answer. Her jackwagon of a dad, in equating this words exchange -WORDS EXCHANGED- to the same effort that had me standing at attention last week for the dignified return of two fellow military members who were killed by terrorism. My brothers didn't go back to taking orders at the drive through window after the altercation...and my brother's father as too busy to complain about words via social media.

Terror/terrorism/terroristic are all holy ground now an if you have not paid the price you don't know. If you don't know, shut your freakin mouth about it.

Stop telling me to not go there. I live there. "There" is where I got shot at. "There" is where my children linger when there dad is getting shot at. "There" is where I earned the right to be there. "There" is where you are being offensive. You have the right to be a jackwagon, but YOU will not , can not, do anything about me being "there".
