First, I'm a Horn fan, and yes, I'm bitter that we lost because Colt got knocked out of the game.

But here's an honest question...Why didn't you kill us? Our playbook probably got cut down to 10 plays and the famous Bama defense didn't impress. I'm not trying to spew hate, really just wondering. Here in Austin, all we heard the whole week was how tough it was going to be to move the ball against you, but how could a freshman qb who's probably taken 10 snaps the entire season keep Texas in the game? That should never happen. I'd think twice about being too proud of yourselves.

Congratulations...Yes I'm bitter, yes I feel your championship should have an asterisk, and yes I'd love to see the game played on level terms and find out who the best team really is. Hopefully we meet again next year.

And I've heard you guys can tailgate with the best. I wish I could have been there to enjoy the party.

Why didn't we kill you guys?!?! Hell man your defense, your offense, your coaching staff have heart! You never gave up. And when there was an oppritunity y'all took it. Your a hell of a team and showed why you made it that far. I respect the hell outta Texas for showing the heart they showed last night!

Marcel took colt out. It's part of the game. And that freshman qb played his @$$ off. NEBRASKA is why Texas had so much heart. You learn more from a loss than a win everytime. (Yes you lost that game. Wanna ask the Husker fans about being bitter?)

ROLL TIDE!!!

I think the Bama coaching staff took their foot off of the gas in the second half with a 24-6 lead. Had the offense not been so conservative then it may have been worse for your horns. Our QB played injured as well.

did you see our gameplan in the 3rd??? we were just in cruise control. I blame that on our OC. In hindsight with the way you guys and the media are talking. We should have stomped you ass. In reality you guys should not be asking why but saying thank you alabama for not ripping our guts out and stomping on them.

BamaJay is spot on. Saban was content to play conservative. We had 3 or 4.....3 and outs in the 3rd quarter. That is awful. Had we just been able to move the ball a little bit, the game would have been a lot worse. Saban stated after the game each time we were inside our own 20. Wanted to run the ball, chew up the clock and play "safe". Problem was we never could flip the field on UT and that almost cost us. When Texas pulled within 3 they opened the O back up an was able to move the ball.

Texas had plenty of opportunities to win this game. How do you not take advantage of two straight possessions on your opponents side of the field? How about that onside kick that Texas recovered? Did your offense take advantage of that?

McCoy could have made a difference for sure. Who knows how much?

Texas lost the game. Stop crying about it.

I don't know why you think this NC should have an asterix. If you are going to play the if game, if Sam Bradford had not gone down early against y'all, you wouldn't have been playing us for the NC at all....

Good point.

also, who says we didn't? 24-6 at half, and 37-21 final, I'd say that's a pretty good a$$ kicking, no matter the 10 minutes of the game that you guys were actually close. and all of the trick plays, and the pu$$y-footing you guys did with the kicking game, refusing to play like men and try to stop Javy, what's with all of that? I know we did the fake punt, but that was shear genius, if he hadn't lobbed it up there, that would have been a TD

If Colt had been tougher he would not have gotten knocked out of the game. Football is a contact sport and only tough kids survive it. We would have beaten you with Colt either way. Sorry if your kids are not as tough as ours. Get some tougher players. There is no asterisk. We jacked you up and won by SIXTEEN POINTS! I don't know how much you know about football, but a 16 point win is a pretty good win.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that we were playing the Texas McCoys. I thought that Texas was in the NC game because they had an awesome team, not just 1 good player. I guess you don't think much of the rest of your team, huh?

You do realize that our QB had 2 cracked ribs, and our Heisman RB was cramping in the 2nd half when our offense was going 3 and out and just content running out the clock.

Also, I consider 37-21 in the NC game an ass-whooping, but whatever dude.;)

Patzer, I'm sure you are bitter, we all know what it is like. In 2005 we lost the most electrifying player in football on a totally unnecessary play & maybe we would've played UT in Rose bowl then, IF...

It is part of the game.

To stress what has been said already, if you couldn't tell that 'Bama was playing safe in the 3rd quarter then you are as blind as can be. UT had 2 big pass plays (that's it) that makes this game close & those plays were blown assignments on 'Bama's part NOT because UT did something miraculous. How many plays did 'Bama make to beat UT? Several, & one of those was knocking the crap outta McCoy in a clean hit, which is part of the game like penalties, turnovers, blown assignments, & being physical.

But I'm sure that doesn't change to bitterness you taste. Too bad.

P.S. This is kharma to the non touchdown call that Joe Namath made against Texas in the last NC game these two teams played in. Bitter pill that the 'Bama nation has had to swallow for a long time.
