🏈 Question to REAL fans

Got a question to long term or even younger fans
Any body record games and save them on dvr ( and maybe even permanent on dvd ) and actually watch them again?
I started in the 80s ( converted vhs to dvds) ... saved all games but now just sec or big nc games... but rarely go back and rewatch...anybody else do such things? Just curious

I'll DVR games and go back and rewatch them during the week leading up to the next game. I won't erase them until after the season though. If it leads to a Natty, I will leave certain games on so I can go back and watch while I'm on the treadmill or in my weight room. Sort of makes the off season easier.

Yes my friend, but what is this DVR stuff you speak of? Just kidding. My treasures date back to the VCR and I still have them. I also don't watch them because I no longer have a working VCR player and looking for another seems kinda silly to me. But I got them, back to the wishbone.

What we need, are better copies of the old stuff on YouTube. That will probably never happen, given that it can be difficult to watch early Bama games under coach Saban in HD quality.

Yes. I began taping televised games in the Eighties and switched to DVD in 2009. I still record all of them but trash the losses because I have no desire to see them again. Coach Saban's tenure has steadily reduced DVD wastage.

The funny thing is that even knowing what I'm re-watching is a guaranteed win, I still experience some tension at crucial points in the action. Of course, YouTube has largely rendered recording games unnecessary, but I enjoy doing it out of sheer habit. There's nothing like flopping down on the bed and watching the CFPCG in July.

I DVR all of our games and keep the good ones and delete the blowouts and loses. I currently only have the Sugar Bowl and Natty vs Georgia, as well as the Ole Miss game that I need to rewatch. I try and rewatch them so I can answer any questions my wife and kids may have about the game of football and just to watch our boys play because I may have been ball watching the whole game and missed the good deeds of the rest of our guys playing.

i dvr every single game....even as i'm sitting there watching it.

i don't have a means to transfer them to physical media (sure wish i did, though). i do own several BAMA dvds, though. there are several that have been released that i need to get, too.

Record games and save to DVR?? What does that mean? :D

I download digital versons...easy to do, plenty of programs that allow you to save youtube videos.

Record every game to DVR. Bigger games are then transferred to computer, commercials & halftime edited out, and then burned to Blu-ray.
Give to friends & family to help through the long spring & summer!
Have transferred several from VHS to dvd this way, including '92 Sugar Bowl.

for the 2009 and 2011 seasons, the released a dvd set of the entire season; every game broadcast, no commercials. but they've only done it for those 2 years. i wish they'd do the others. hell, i wouldn't mind having the entire 1992 season that way, too. i'd love a shelf full of championship season box sets, lol.

i actually wouldn't mind an archive of every single BAMA game that's ever been recorded.

Hey talking about games tape. Did any of you buy those tapes that was back in 1992-93? One was called the Century of Championship; Alabama 12 Nat Champ. All are VCR tapes. Also got two bonus tape with them too.
