Alabama is currently 7-1 vs teams that are currently bowl eligible. MTSU can get their 6th win with a victory over North Texas or UTSA who have a combined 3-17 record. The Barn becomes bowl eligible with a win over Idaho. Assuming we win out, we could very easily finish the regular season with a 9-1 record vs 6+ win teams. I think it is unlikely that a single team has won as many games against that level of competition, but does anyone know or even know how to check?

I think we did it last year. All 8 regular season conference teams we played were bowl eligible if I recall, West VA played a bowl game, Mizzou played a bowl game as well and then OSU played us, too. So we were 9-1 regular season, 10-2 counting the SECCG and the bowl game.

RTR,

Tim

Sure didn't do it in 2003. Bama played 11 teams that won 6+ games. Only UK at 4-8 and MSU at 2-10 failed to win 6.

9 of the 11 won 9+. 6 of the 9 won 10+. 3 of the 6 won 11+. 2 of the 3 won 12+. 1 of the 2 won 13!
