Bama fans angrier? (I'm joking, joking messing with you guys)

LSU is the king of the SEC this year and will be even so more next year.

In all honestly I believe the BCS will be just as close as earlier this year. Bama may win the title game. However, next year LSU will be a couple notches above bama.

Not sure about that. You guys will have to break in an untested qb. We have reloaded at corner, which was my biggest worry on that side of the ball. Offensively, even with Trent gone, we should be even better, based on A J having a year under his belt and an outstanding OL. I look forward to battling you guys again.

not sure who they turn out to be. I'd imagine Mettenberger will be the starter next year, with Kiel getting a redshit because he's been in the system a year longer. Supposedly he is pretty good, he will certainly have alot of weapons around him.

kinda related... LSU lost a QB to baseball a year ago I think - was a kid from here in NE of Dallas outta McKinney, TX. He was the kid who went baseball, and now suing the Dodgers for the $3.4 or $3.5m signing bonus - (talk about crap luck for that kid).

Its unfortunate that the conference to have two teams so good, yet only be able to get the full credit for the one...so far. Don't forget that Bama was undefeated and equally impressive in its wins, but for 5 November.

I ask you this. Had just one of those missed FGs during regulation gone through the uprights for LSU, how much worse of a team would they have been? Not at all worse is my answer, but there would have been a drop off in the public perception. The Tigers would be considered the second best team in the country and rightly so. And by the same measure, I bet you would equally eager for the match up in New Orleans, and rightly so.

My point is that "king" of the SEC may a bit strong considering the microscopic margin victor, literally coming down to a single play.

Did I miss a post? I thought Trent said that he was going to do his senior year to show others the importance of completing Uni.education?

Yeah I'll believe that when it happens... He's a top 6 pick and has two daughters, he should go pro. And I hate to say it but I think LSU will be better next year. They return everyone and their mother's except for QB which is their weakest position so that may be a positive. Plus we have to play them at night in Death Valley. I'm not saying they will be better than us, but they will be great again next year. They also have the bye before us next year as we do not. With that said, the game has typically gone to the away team the majority of times so throw homefield advantage out of the window in this series.

It'll just be the game of the century of the year again

Before I start I would like to say that this is not a post claiming that Bama is going to walk in to Death Valley next year and wipe our rear with Lester's hat. I fully expect LSU to be a damn good team next season and compete at a very high level. Heck, they could very well win the SEC West again next season and compete for a National Championship.

With that being said - I keep hearing that LSU is "bringing their whole team back." Hog wash. They're actually losing quite a bit. Especially on defense. This includes a DE, all 3 LB's, Morris Claiborne will be going pro, and a Safety. Again, I fully expect them to reload, but LSU isn't returning a single starting LB. That's a big deal to ANY team. Plus they'll be breaking in a new QB and probably losing their stud Junior WR to the NFL. Sound familiar Bama fans?

Alabama and LSU both have done a phenomenal job in recruiting. Both teams seem to lose 2 or 3 juniors to the NFL each year. Yet they continue to reload. There's no telling what next season will hold. But I'd be willing to bet that the West will be decided between the Alabama/LSU game next season.

To the victors go the spoils. Had we won by "one single play" we would be thumping our chest too. If we win the BCS by the slightest of margins, I will let the LSU fans I know hear about it too. You know, the whole payback being a beyotch thing? God help me if we lose.......and no, I have not been talking crap either. That's just how those Cajuns roll.
