@Birdman37, as soon as Leak was gone though, you saw Tebow with the full reigns of the offense. It was situational play at best before he came along. Now once he was the man, Urban didn't play another.

What Va Tech tried to run Monday night was a two QB system. When their passing QB went down, they were sunk.

In our case, while it may be aa 2 QB system, it is not a 2 offenses system. All the plays in the playbook are there for both QBs. Naturally enough, when Coker is in the game the play calls are eared to his strengths, as they would be to Bateman's if he was in the game when the issue was still n doubt. Alabama hasn't really sought to play two quarterbacks in meaningful situations since the Bear's day.

I guess it all depends on one's definition. I don't recall seeing Tebow anywhere between the 20's. He was a goal line guy as I recall. Sort of a "special package" more than a 2 QB system is how I've viewed it all along.

Yeah short yardage and goal line is all I remember Tebow doing.

Won the SEC Championship in 1999 and worked even better in 2002, won 10 games. I know you were trying to suggest it was a train wreck or something, and in 2000 it was, but I actually thought they did relatively decent with it especially in 2002. As much as we hate Fran using the option with Watts and more drop back stuff with Croyle I thought was pretty good.
