A couple of things to keep in mind.
Nine assistants allowed per football team. Kirby is under contract and coaching until the end of the season.
We shouldn't assume Pruitt wouldn't want to coach the defense in UGA's bowl game.
We're about to enter a dead period. So, the fact Kirby has been recruiting Devon Brown for Bama and Pruitt doing the same for Georgia will work itself out. (Those kids heads have to be spinning a bit, right?)
Questions:
More on above: If Alabama is allowed to only have nine recruiters why does Kirby count against Alabama when he's making contacts for UGA right now? How does this not apply for Pruitt?
Who is Jeremy Pruitt's agent?
How is his contract resolved with Georgia? He has two years left worth 2.6 million. The difference between being fired and moving to take another job is pretty substantial.
Opinions:
Evaluation/recruiting: Different guys, but in the end I see it as a wash.
Coaching: Kirby has been calling out defensive plays for a long time. It's a downgrade with potential.
This is a strange contract negotiation, switch/exchange with coaches and contracts. I've never seen anything like this.
