šŸˆ Props to AJ... He clearly was at the helm for this win!

I was critical of him after VT bland play but wanting or expecting more out of him as a 5th year senior.

However, he played a fantastic game today. Certainly the offensive line was better but his audible or fake for the last TD was clutch, along w/ other plays!

Roll Tide Roll!

He continues to rise to the occasion. Some people out there were simply born to win. He had a killer game, but he also had time to throw. I was worried about the line, but realized Coach would not send out a unit of incapable guys. They showed me today, and I'm happy to say that I was proud of our offense today. Glad to see Yeldon hit over 100 yards, and Norwood continues to impress me with his ability to step up his game as well.

The o-line looked much improved. But again, that played a tough d-line 2 weeks ago. But they really gave him time, and protected him well. Was he sacked at all? I can't remember.

AJ was a star. I'm sure no matter what he does this season he will be under appreciated though. He is cool as a cucumber under pressure, and I love his giddy reactions to TDs. That Norwood catch was out of sight .. !!

^^ I dont even think they touched AJ, let alone sacked him. The line really did an amazing job... but you're all right. AJ was amazing, when their backs were against the wall he simply, calmly drove us down the field time after time. And I think one of the things that says alot about AJ and his relationship with Saban was the last TD. For those that didnt hear the story, 3rd and goal and Saban was going to have us just run and set up a short field goal. AJ told him "give me the ball, I've got this" and Saban put the trust him. He got the job done, and boy did that play look EXACTLY like McElroy's game winner against Auburn in 09?

The biggest problem with fans? They take one game and make it a qualifying sample size. One game does not a career define. I wasn't panicking about AJ after VT. He is what he is. A total winner.

Sigh... I just expected more, I qualified my thoughts, & I gave him credit before. AJ was even critical of himself & I just picked up on his performance as a 5th year. His performance at A&M just reaffirmed expectations & passed them too for that matter.

I was the first to point out the negative & I wanted to be the first to give him props because your right, "One game does not a career define." However, I believe AJ will make games like A&M his banner as an elite QB.

He had a great game. Honestly, I thought he was off-target on his shorter passes during much of the game, and he and Cooper in particular seemed to be a little out of sync on the short routes. I think their D was trying to take Amari out of the game, and as the game progressed AJ rightly started looking elsewhere. I believe AJ was 4 for 4 passing in the fourth quarter, none to Cooper. He closed it out great, and the play to Fowler was a little twist in our prior HBack to flats call in that Fowler came from the left side to work out to the right flat and was totally lost by the D.

RTR,

Tim
