Brad Edwards has Bama #1 in his projected BCS. Not that I don't think Bama plays like the #1 team but I'm shocked that yesterday would (potentially) leapfrog LSU. Although, I guess LSU's win over WVU doesn't have quite the shine anymore.

November 5th will be interesting. I scored tix so I'm taking the wife to her first SEC game at BDS.

A pre-emptive congrats on being the new #1

we had better offensive and defensive stats against tenn than LSU did. also thos first place votes that oklahoma got i guess they are prejecting bama gets those votes.

Penn State has quietly gone 7-1, with that one loss being to Bama...not that they've had any special wins as of yet, but still. I'm with ya, I don't see why Bama would jump LSU in the rankings.

The PSU win is something I completely overlooked.

Really it's a push in my opinion. You can make very food arguments for both teams. I just figured if both teams kept winning LSU would stay ahead until Nov. 5th.

I do want to be clear so I don't look like the Aubie flaming--it is tough to argue against Bama as #1. Two deserving teams, someone is going to have to be on top.

Penn State's defense has been carrying them. The offense is improving, but better perk up quick. Their last four games are tough, finishing with Illinois, Nebraska, Ohio State and Wisconsin. I believe they will beat Ohio State, Illinois is toss-up, and lose to Nebraska and Wisconsin. They might surprise me, though.

Tim
