Toledo beat Alabama in 2000 and 2001 when he was at UCLA. He remembers his trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2001, as well as the impact Alabama fans had at the Rose Bowl in the meeting the year before.
'I remember seeing a lot of red, an unbelievable atmosphere and a lot of excitement and a lot of passion for football,' he said. 'I saw red at the Rose Bowl the year before, too. Alabama may have had more fans than we had in our own stadium.
'I remember taking my staff to the Bryant Museum when we came there. I'm going to do that again with these guys, but I won't take the players because I don't want to scare them.'
