🏈 Predictions for this Weekend

Most predictions I have seen put Oregon and KSU in tight games (yes, even KSU) but with Oregon and KSU coming out victorious. And of course ND. I was curious how everyone else feels the weekend will play out.

My predictions:
Stanford - Oregon: Stanford 36, Oregon 31
This is the game to watch. I see Hogan coming up big for Stanford, with Oregon's D faltering. Stanford also has one of the top rushing D's in the country (#1, I believe?). I think Stanford's offense will explode in the 1st half, and Oregon will struggle to get in gear. It will be close near the end but Stanford's D will prove to be the determining factor in a win. I think Stanford has a lot more to prove than Oregon (what with close wins against all of their toughest opponents), and Oregon will choke with the pressure of having to beat ranked teams twice with 2 weeks left to secure a spot in the big game. If they don't fall here, I see them losing in the Civil War.

Baylor - KSU: KSU 42, Baylor 21
Baylor has a great passing game (2nd overall) but AWFUL defense (118th in points allowed .. OUCH). Klein will take full advantage of that and run all over them. Baylor is also ranked 7th in points per game, with KSU right behind them, but I see KSU's defense locking down on them. I think Klein will have a big day as well. But the only real threat left (if you can call it that) will be next week at Texas. I do not see the KSU train slowing down any time soon.

Notre Dame - Wake Forest: Notre Dame 38, Wake Forest 10
What a joke game. ND's offense is average but their defense (#1 in points allowed) will stifle any upset dreams Wake Forest has. I really wish Pitt and Stanford had pulled it off when they had the chance (though Stanford got screwed big time). Also, I can't believe I am mentioning a potential championship team in the same sentence as Pitt and Wake Forest. I hope their weak schedule comes back to bite them somehow. But next week will be VERY interesting at USC. I see USC finally ending the Irish's season in a squeaker that comes down to the wire.

Alabama - WCU: Do we even need to go here? :icon_twisted:

I'd say you're right on the last two games. The Oregon game?

That 2010 Stanford team was a good one and Oregon took them out by 31. Last year I believe they lost to the Ducks by 20.

What strikes me about Stanford this year is they've stepped on a few toes. USC and all it's hype ended when the lost to Stanford. Oregon State's loss was to the Cardinal. And they should have won versus Notre Dame but ended up on the losing end with some very, VERY questionable calls. The pass interference call was just a joke...ended up being one of the things that gave ND that W.

I can't see Stanford pulling it out...well, let me change that. I can see it, just don't have a lot of faith IN seeing it happen.

I don't know, I just have a good feeling about it. I see Stanford coming in trying to prove themselves and get the huge upset. I think this is the game they have had circled for a while. If TAM could do it to Bama, Stanford has a shot at dethroning Oregon!

Oregon duck head went missing today per https://twitter.com/cbfowler, they found it.

Could this be an early indication of some bad juju?

:muahaha:

As much as I will be rooting for Stanford Saturday, I don't see them beating Oregon. I think Stanford has a really good run defense, but Oregon will spread them out and once they get those boys on the outside of the line, they are gone. I think the Ducks win this one by at least 15 points.

In my stats tells the story mode...

In the last 14 years of the BCS, 16 teams in the top three have lost a game when favored. 13 of those teams were favored by more than a touchdown.

Stranger things have happened, and I'll definitely be keeping a close eye on this one, but I just don't see Oregon losing. Matter of fact, I don't think this one will even be close.

Stanford needs to make this a physical game, and push Oregon around...that's their best bet.
