And pigeon forge. Every resident and every visitor. I am at a loss for words, and they probably will rebuild but it will never be the same. Any one seen anything about The donut friar?

Westgate Resort and Spa is where we own a timeshare. More than 100 of their buildings are GONE!! My wife received an email yesterday stating that they would be cancelling current reservations and refunding those. Also, they would be closing to survey the damage and then begin work to rebuild.

Not to diminish anything but on the bright side, some of the places that were severely dated will be updated.

Small world; same here. When they rebuild I hope they do more at the bottom of the mountain. I hate going up that mountain every dang time. I'd like to be able to get out of my car while there and not have to get back in it.

We live close (within an hour), and many of our firefighters have been on the scene for days helping. Last night, most of them returned home and have now been out since around 1:30 a.m. working tornado damage. Our neighborhood was spared as it hop-scotched across the county.

The torrential rains have helped the fire situation. But now, storm damage can be added to the equation.

Oh yeah, remembered why I was responding to this post. The Park Vista will probably survive and need to be updated. However, many of the structures were surprisingly new or at least maintained remarkably well. The wedding chapel that burnt looked pristine. The worst area was Regan Drive and they have some older apartments and whatnot. Downtown Gatlinburg looks to be fine.
