Any ideas on when practice will resume? I may be wrong but I was under the impression that they havent been practicing, I guess because I havent been able to read anything.

I'm fairly certain it's been said practice will start back on the 19th. I think they only get 15 practices between the SEC Championship and the BCS Title Game.

Players have been lifting, conditioning, some doing drills on their own, and studying film. They're ready to get back it!!

Yeah, Texas also gets to hear for 30+ days that Alabama is gonna beat them and beat them bad. I'm not liking that too much to be honest. I trust Saban to keep those guys motivated as best as anyone can, but dang 30+ days of hearing about how much better you are then Texas can be damaging as well.

I just hope they come out as fired up and ready to play as they did against Florida. If that happens, it will be a long day for Colt and the gang!

I don't think it is so much that you get a set number of practices as it is how many practices do you want to get in before the bowl. CNS probably chooses a set number as to not beat the guys up before the game and not let them get lazy as well. Other schools use as many days as possible for their practices to get work in for all of the younger guys that most likely will be depended on next season. I may be wrong, but i believe a set number only applies for Spring practice and not bowl practice.

All I know is that, should Texas beat us, I hope to God I don't hear that Saban took it too easy during the break and the team wasn't ready. Believe me, that won't have anything to do with it. Surely, we do have a fairly big challenge though, one because Texas is a very, very, very good team. But the second reason is that so much energy and preparation was poured into beating Florida, by the players as well as the coaching staff. Particularly Nick Saban. This bugs me a bit, because I wonder how much more can be in the tank to prepare for Texas, who is probably every bit as good as Florida was.

I really hope we as Bama fans don't go looking for a scapegoat should we lose this game. I don't believe we will, but I never believe Alabama will lose. But I'm realistic: this is a very, very talented and well-coached team we are playing against.

its very possible that we get the big head and texas uses the underdog to get pumped up....but i really feel we have enough to keep us pumped as well. Hopefully the coaches and players are looking at the auburn game to see what can happen if you dont take an opponent seriously, as well as Utah, LA Monroe, etc....

I pray that our guys are mature enough to realize the challenge they have in front of them and not buy in to the media hype.

I disagree, they're not as good as Florida. I still think had Florida beat us and went on to face Texas in Pasadena they would win over Texas. I think we can win this game easily, as long as the team plays with the fire they had against Florida.

Nebraska and Oklahoma's defense gave Texas trouble. Imagine what our defense will do to em!?!?!
