Oh I know we had better wins but we did lose to two .500 teams that were embarassing losses. Not going to bemoan not making it because we did not .control what we could have and should have controlled. My mindselt if you lose to Vandy you forfeit all rights to anything. I know we want to prop them up but they are still a .500 team. Better compared to Vandy standards but still not very good.

And Syracuse is better?

IF ranked is a part of your criteria, it has to be applied in both directions. Otherwise, the foundation doesn't exist.

ranking is not the only thing their subpar record does. I am sure I should put more weight on quality wins but I just look at losing to Vandy.... Hard to get past that one.

SMU is in win or lose
Clemson has to win to be in.

Name recognition may help, but I don’t think Bama gets in. I would love for them to get in, but I seriously doubt it.

Needed Indiana, and ucheat to lose I think.
Whomever wins the big 12 championship will be the 12th seed.

It just depends on where they put Miami. AP and coaches have them behind us, if committee follows we’d be in. Boise is already ranked 11th and if they lose they’d fall behind us and the winner would take the auto bid so basically 1 from the MWC. The Big12 champ, The SEC champ and runner up, the ACC champ, B1G champ and runner up. tOSU, ND, uT, Indiana.

That leaves 1 spot… if Miami stay ahead of us they are in. If not we should be in, unless someone like USCe where to jump us.

They could also drop uGA out if Texas were to beat them convincingly… but I don’t feel they’d do that.

It’s kind of like hoops… We ended up in the finals… that team didn’t show their potential till the tournament..

We probably don’t deserve to be in. But here’s my question- Who does???
Tell me why there are 12 teams that DESERVE to be in. If not, put us in. The Good Lord knows we have been screwed before 1966, 1977, 2022 etc…

I’d like to see that myself!!! The notre dame offense is clicking (running game).

If there is 1 team that no one wants to play in the playoffs, it's Bama. If Bama is on they could beat any team in it. That should count for something.

I like the way our defense is playing right now. Clean up the turnovers and dropped passes, watch out.

Bama would be a favorite against every team except maybe Oregon, Texas, OSU, possibly Tennessee.

Feels like it comes down to where Miami is Tuesday night, but Heather Dinich (for what it is worth) thinks we need Clemson to win the ACC for us to get in and I don’t see that one. I don’t know that they would drop SMU behind us.

that’d jump b Clemson in front of Bama so that makes no sense to me. I also agree with you, that SMU may stay ahead of Bama.
