🏈 Player suspensions?

I've heard a couple of rumors that we could have Julio and Ingram suspended for the first few games this year. Apparently they went on a boat with a booster over the 4th of July Holiday?

Anyone else hearing anything about this?

There is nothing to worry about here from what I've been told by very, very reputable people at UA.

It's the same rumor that started over a month ago. Quite frankly, I'm a little surprised it's brought up again...but, I do understand an outspoken Auburn fan was "yelling" about this on the radio Monday.

29fan, use the search function in the top tool bar and look for Julio, fishing, trip...you'll find the thread dealing with it.

Didn't mean to drag up old news/ rumors. But I just had someone tell me today that the Red Elephant Club is supposed to have a meeting on Monday and one of the members was telling a friend of a friend that Saban was supposed to be there and talk about the suspensions.

I know...the old friend of a friend. Who can you trust right. Thats why I posted it here because I trust you guys and gals more than the average fan around town...or god for bid an AU fan around town

No big deal, AT ALL!!!

Not everyone follows things around campus as closely as others so people miss out on things all the time.

I would take the time to search for it myself—but tied up for the next few minutes with a few blog updates.

I have no reason to doubt they took a trip. I have no reason to doubt a lot of things about the story when it came out.

But, the idea that it would boil down to suspensions was a possibility until we got to the bottom of the story. Like I said, from all indications I've received (from more than one person who would know) it was looked at and dealt with properly. Suspension isn't a repercussion.

It wasn't one of our boosters like RT mentioned earlier in the thread...

I think any concern over this should definitely be put to rest now. Thank goodness I never heard one word about it. ;) Had there been any truth to it Saban would have addressed it along with the other suspensions and missing team members on opening day pc.

That I disagree with. If there are any suspensions for a game, if it's a crucial player, we'll hear about it just before the game...likely the day of. No need to give any advantage...

The only time we've heard differently was Andre...and he was sent home from New Orleans which was something A LOT of people noticed.

Just talked to my REC buddy (Dead Elephants Club he calls them). He said he hasn't heard anything new at all, nothing about a meeting.

No offense to 29fan, but that part just doesn't click with me.

The guy that owned the boat lives in N. Alabama, but owns a house down on the Gulf. So, if there was a meeting what Chapter? If there was a meeting what on earth are they going to accomplish with the meeting? The boat owner isn't a part of the REC, he's not a Bama booster, he's not a Bama fan.

Anywho...

Here's the thread we had here.
..roughly a bit more than a week after the story got out. Pay attention to the date of the thread—then ask yourself what purpose did the Auburnites who brought this back up again have in mind.

Im hearing Terrys info is what the UNI first thought (a couple weeks/months back) The story has kinda switched in that maybe these two might be getting some suspension time after all.

Switched how?

The possible suspension was always there. The way I recall the story—and this is what, two months ago—is both players repaid the gas money, etc. and then were cleared by the University.

Yes, thats correct in that both players paid back the cash.

Im hearing the University thinks they should be cleared but the NCAA hasnt done so as of yet. The tone of this deal took on a different personality late last week. Check back with your contacts and see if they might have changed their tune of late.
