Its the last week of the regular season for the SEC, and some big traditional matchups are on tap.

Texas at aTm

I don't know if this rivalry game will survive the Aggies move to the SEC, so this could well be the Aggies chance to end it as a winner. Texas has had a run of injuries on offense, while the Aggies are relatively healthy. I like the Aggies in this one.

aTm 27 Texas 17

Arkansas at LSU

The Razorbacks come after LSU tusk and claw every year and will do so again. This time the stakes are very high for the Hogs and the Tigers. It is hard to know how the tragic death of their young tight end could affect Arkansas. Will it be a distraction or a motivation? Air Petrino brings the toughest passing attack the Tiger defense has seen all season. The key factor in the game will be how well Arkansas can protect Tyler Wilson. My gut feeling is that they will have as much trouble in this game as they did against us. That factor, and the home field advantage, means:

LSU 31 Arkansas 21

Georgia at Georgia Tech

The Dawgs figure to be better, but will they defend the Tech option attack any better than we did with Georgia Southern? Probably not, but they should score enough to win.

Georgia 34 Georgia Tech 24

Tennessee at Kentucky

The Vols found just enough to beat Vandy last Saturday and keep their bowl hopes alive. Tyler Bray comong back definitely gave them a big lift. I look for the Vools to salvage a little from this season, even at Kentucky.

Tennessee 27 Kentucky 14

Vanderbilt at Wake Forest

The Dores stubbed their toe last Saturday against Tennessee and now need this win to become bowl eligible. Franklin has them playing hard, and they will achieve their goal.

Vandy 24 Wake Forest 21

Florida State at Florida

This should be a hotly contested game, but with much less at stake than usual. Since it is at Gainesville I look for the Gators to take down the Noles.

Florida 28 Florida State 27

Ole Miss at Mississippi State

The Houston Nutt era comes to a merciful close. The Bulldogs won't show much mercy, however, as they rid themselves of some of the frustrations of he season.

Mississippi State 45 Ole Miss 6

Clemson at South Carolina

Were the fighting Dabos looking ahead last Saturday when they got thumped versus N C State? I think it was Clemson not knowing how to get themselves up for a game with little at stake. The Gamecocks defense is easily the toughest Clemson has seen this year. USCe ends it with a W.

USCe 31 Clemson 21

Missouri at Kansas

This ancient rivalry may be history after this game. No talk of the underdog rising up to defeat the ancient foe. The Tigers bring it on home, get ready for their bowl, and start thinking SEC.

Missoui 45 Kansas 10

Alabama at Auburn

Don't talk to me about throwing out the record books when Auburn and Alabama play. Over the years the team that has the best club wins, especially when on eteam appears to be a lot better than the other. Auburn comes into this game on a down note efter being mashed by Georgia and struggling for much of the game versus Samford. I'm sure Malzahn will have a new wrinkle or two for us, but they should have a lot of trouble moving the ball. Auburn will play hard, to be sure, but we have them outgunned.

Alabama 34 Auburn 13
