Umbrella Magnolia


There's a half mile paved trail to the dam from the parking area. Since our daughter's stroke, we carry her there to get exercise. She can roll her walker all the way to the dam thanks to this paved trail. Buddy enjoys it too.


Brushy Lake dam. Built by the CCC in 1939 through 1940. Some of my uncles worked on this project. The lake was restocked with bass, bream and crappie some 30 years ago. It's a very enjoyable place to canoe or kayak.
