I posted a video here about a year ago that had a truck with a roll out grill / flattop in that space...real easy slide out it appeared.Saw this at a gas station last night, interesting use of space.
I've been a few times since '92: less than a dozen. It's usually involved with something else like having a drink on one side, going to get something to munch on that's on the other side, and I'm walking through the market just to stay in the shade. (IE: The pepper sauce. I saw a stand one day and stopped.)I've been to the slave market, the baskets the ladies were making were nice but just a tourist trap. Farmers markets are on our list everywhere we travel.
Markets. Damn. Summerville is open on Saturday's April through December. Goose Creek; the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. The one in Hanahan is open on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday. Mt. Pleasant is open on Tuesdays (closes end of next month.) W Ashley is every Wednesday in the afternoon with music, food trucks, and what you'd expect to find at a farmers market. Friday's and Sunday's are out ... but on Sunday you can get some great vegetables at the fair grounds. That area is as big as your small neighborhood Walmarts...or at least pretty damn close. HUGE! And, a lot of stuff I"ve never heard of (hispanic.)
The guy that lives across the street owns part of a landscaping company. He just asked if I wanted some extra pine straw for a few of my beds. I said ... well, ya know. I DIDN'T expect him to put it down. So, he's got his truck in my driveway spreading straw...looks like the market will wait a bit. But hell, that's $40 or more I can spend on ______.
