🏈 Picked up the new NCAA 12 for 360 today

Bad news. Apparently there is a glitch in the game that when you rename the players it also switch up their tendencies (power RB becomes Speed, Scramble QB becomes Pocket passer, etc, etc). EA is currently working on a patch for the glitch. So, looks like I will have to redo Alabama's rosters AGAIN as well as continue to wait to do a primary dynasty.

How rosters work:

If the rosters have NAME changes ONLY, then they can be used for ranked online, both dynasties, & RTG if you select 'use existing player' in RTG.

If the rosters include ratings changers they cannot be used for ranked online games but are good for everything else except MAYBE OD. Not sure on that one.

Anyway, once the patch is released I will be using Operation Sport's rosters as a base to edit the Alabama rosters if not getting my edits into OS's original edit to begin with. OS has a large community that helps with roster edits each year & goes very in depth to the point of upgrading equipment, removing/adding dreads to players that need such a thing, minor rating edits.

I will be going even further to correct that hometowns of each player, make sure they're lined up at RE instead of LE, correct #s as much as possible. It only takes about an hour thanks to the chatpad & using OS's rosters as a base. The GT from which you can download my rosters once the patch is released & rosters are all done is currently Crimson13Tide, although I am considering a change soon.

Also, THIS is awesome. This guy actually took the time to....uh, time the entrance music he created for various teams to the game & even made our custom entrance with the real audio (players talking about 22 SEC champs, 13 MNCs) being played over the PA.

I had just put "Thunderstruck" on the 'Anticipation' & "Yea Alabama" on 'Run Out' & it was horrendous. I haven't implemented his timed custom entrance yet but I listened to it & it should be much better.

Ive never seen that happen. I'll have to check it out.

Anyway I use the rosters form gamertag Pasta Padre

EA confirmed it & are working on a patch now. They haven't set a time table on it's release but I suspect about a month.

For those curious about the Patrick Morty rosters that were talked about earlier. Patrick Morty is simply the GT of some guy who paid $10 for rosters from GamingRosters.com or something like that. He then of course put it into his EA Locker to share & this is how we were able to have Release Day rosters this year. The rosters are full of errors but it was nice to have names on Day 1.

Op. Sports are still continuing to update their rosters with the latest updates in hopes that the patch will fix previously created rosters as opposed to having to delete them & start all over.

Thats why I have always used Pasta Padre or Fairdale Kings rosters. They get advanced copies of the game from EA and work to name all players as close to release day as possible. Pasta this year named all the players and coaches. I did notice he removed several players that are no longer on teams. I havent completed a 100% check of every team. I am sure that is what the OS guys are doing.

Yeah I usually use Fairdale for my ranked on-line games & Skyflame21 (IGN) for my dynasty. I just learned of OS a couple months ago & these guys definitely do the most complete job in terms of removing transfers, players kicked off the team, or re-working the depth charts for injured players so they basically take a RS if available (Dee Hart).

"MOST RECENT UPDATE: Most up to date file as of JULY 25, 2011 6:00 PM Eastern time can be downloaded from the following lockers:

CcAaRrSsOoNn3
"

This is the 9th or 10th update they've done, covering all teams of course. When we finally get the Roster Patch I'm going to use whatever update they're on (or, God forbid, wait for them to start over on the XXth/nd/rd update) & go into Alabama's roster & perfect it.

Also just an FYI: If you're using a custom playbook & you're experiencing the glitch where you plays are replaced with '?'s & blank play screens that cause your players to break the huddle & then appear as if all 11 players are attempting to play C, I've discovered a work-around that works 9/10 times.

After you've run a play & your playbook pops up & there are no plays, you know what's going to happen when. You're going to have to eat a Delay of Game penalty or burn a TO. Before doing either try pressing the RB to go to 'Sim'. Once in 'Sim' both the play clock & game clock stop. Instead of pressing 'A' to sim a single play or 'Y' to sim to a certain point, do nothing but wait.
Sometimes it take about 3 seconds, sometimes 8 or 10.
You can then press 'B' to go back to your playbook & resume the game.

Like I said this works 9/10 for me.

Custom Playbooks
With this Title Update the missing play issue that led to a number of problems when using Custom Playbooks has been fixed. Not only is the issue fixed, but you will not need to recreate your playbooks! Any existing playbook will have the fix applied, and you will be able to continue using that playbook without issue.

Tendencies
As with the Custom Playbooks resolution, the fix to the issue of edited player tendencies changing will not negate any previously edited roster file. The fix will be applied to both those existing files, as well as any new roster file that is created.
If you are in a Dynasty or Online Dynasty you will not need to restart as long as your Dynasty is still in year one and you have not advanced past “Training Results” in the off-season. If you are before this point, the update will be applied to your existing Dynasty/Online Dynasty and the tendencies will be correct for all players going forward. If you are in year two and beyond, the tendency issue impact will be less and less as the players graduate/are cut from the rosters.
In addition to the tendencies issue, we have also included both the ability to edit height and weight for players, as well as the option to edit the rosters of CPU controlled teams. In an Online Dynasty the commissioner will have the ability to edit the rosters for other human controlled teams. These were both big requests from you in the community.

Freezes/Crashes
A major focus for this Title Update was to address any freezes/crashes that were found. There were a number of these issues fixed in this Title Update including a crash that occurred when there were multiple TeamBuilder teams in an Online Dynasty, as well as a crash that occurred during the downloading of an Online Dynasty file.
Gameplay

  • Increased the acceleration of QB’s on Speed Option plays.
  • Improved WR blocking, especially on option plays
  • Fixed an issue where defenders assigned to play the curl to flat/buzz zone did not engage immediately when the QB scrambles past the LOS.
  • Fixed an issue where safeties with inside deep ¼ zone would drop back instead of read-and-react on run plays.
  • Fixed an issue in Nickel Cover 3 where the flat zone defender didn’t move as the QB was running at them.
  • Fixed an issue with Double Outs from 4-2-5 Normal where the RLB wasn’t blocked properly vs. certain formations.
Highlights

  • Fixed an issue that caused a blank photo to be uploaded leading to issues with other highlights being uploaded.
Dynasty

  • Fixed an issue in Online Dynasty where injured players did not remain injured when the week advanced.
  • Fixed an issue where a player’s injury time was only reduced by one week when going from Conference Championship week to Bowl Season. Players will now be back for their Bowl game if they should be off of the IR when their bowl game is played.
  • Fixed an issue where coaches that changed jobs could get stuck in a state where they were still listed as coaching at their old school on the Players Leaving screen, leading to a Transfer Failed issue.
  • Fixed an issue that occasionally prevented Dynasties from advancing to the post season.
  • Fixed an issue with the schedule that prevented entering the Virginia Tech vs. Boston College game (fixed for both Dynasty and RTG).
  • Fixed an issue where recruiting related trophies/achievements were not unlocked properly if you signed an extension in that season.
  • Fixed an issue with Program Stability where the grade would drop from A+ to D+ in one season.
  • Fixed an issue with the Unlock All Promises PDLC not unlocking properly on the Dynasty website.
  • When viewing an Online Dynasty invite, added information to show what type of job can be selected by default.
  • Fixed an issue when in the off-season where player stats did not match up between the web and console.

"Unfortunately I can’t give an exact release date, but it currently looks like the Title Update will release before the end of this month."

How do I add or get the sounds on my xbox?

How do I add or get the sounds on my xbox?
There is a way to stream MP3s from a folder on your desktop to your XBox. I haven't looked up how to do it myself. Just Google 'streaming MP3s from PC to XBox 360' or you can do it the long way:

1. Burn the MP3s to disc as an Audio CD

2. Insert the disc into your 360 - The 360 will automatically go into it's media player and you will see the list of songs and a button to rip the songs

3. Rip the songs to your 360 Hard Drive - Click Done (all songs on the disc are ripped as an album)

4. Go to the selection for album, select the song, and click play song (You must do the following for each song) - The individual song begins to play

5. Click the button that says edit or save playlist, save the song as it's own playlist (Repeat 4 and 5 for each individual song) 30 songs - 30 playlists, 5 songs 5 playlists

6. Insert NCAA, go to settings, custom stadium sounds, and create new event,

7. Choose the team, event, and playlist. Rinse and Repeat for all events up to 50 (Make sure to save your profile if you don't have the autosave selected)

Here is some info on streaming...

"Set up 2 separate folders for your sounds.

One is a "warehouse" to store all of your different school's sounds..mine is called "NCAA Sounds" with all of my subfolders (Auburn, Florida, LSU, etc.) inside there.

Then I have another Desktop Folder that I call "Current Stadium Sounds". This folder is the only one I actually share with the Xbox.

I simply drag and drop the particular team's sounds from my main folder down to the sharing folder and then go into the game. After the game is over, I simply drag the team's folder I was using out of the shared folder and back into the main folder that I store them in. Then I grab the next stadium's sounds I want and drag it into the sharing folder.

Now I simply set up the instances and it takes 3 minutes because the only sounds that show up are the exact ones I'm looking for.

The reason for your delay? Probably because you have more than one folder in your shared folder. The more folders/files that the network has to sift through to find the sound you want...the longer the delay.

If you keep only one folder in at a time, your delay will be near nonexistent."

Hope that helps.

Ea NCAA TWITTER: The update is hitting a bit later than expected because we addressed a few additional stability issues that will improve the experience.
