I certainly can not blame a kid for transferring. It's just inevitable sometimes. At the end of the day, the players have to do what is best for them. That's it. These kids are only kids once. Ely has a VERY small window of time to play ball. Now is the time to do it, and he has to go to the place that gives him the best chance to do just that. In a few short years from now, he won't be "old" per se, but he will be older. He can't sit on the bench somewhere until he's well into his mid-20's. It doesn't work that way. I hope he does well at USF.
As for the generational thing, well, that's just funny. All I know is, age don't mean squat! I have witnessed some much older people (well past 50) do some very immature things. (Like laughing about gas passing). And, I have met some people under the age of 30 who were very mature and down to earth.
You don't? Man, that's funny stuff. Don't tell me God didn't have a sense of humor.
Ever do one in the shower that sounded like a duck?
Now, tell me you didn't laugh.
