Anyone on here really believe OU will be the last one standing at the end? I do not because I think Ole Lincoln likes flash over physical play especially on D. Could be wrong and this could be their year but doubt it.

He's the QB at Oklahoma. Their last 3 starters all made it to NY for the Heisman with 2 of them winning it. So they get automatic hype.
I really don't get why he is in mock drafts as the #1 player off the board at present though which seems stupid compared to the #2, Corral at Ole Miss. Corral beat him in every stat except INT.

I think they will be better than Ohio State this year. I like them, Clemson, and Alabama to make the Playoff. Toss up for the fourth spot. May even be another SEC team.
Same boat as you. They need a poster child in a down year at quarterback since there is no Lawrence/Fields hype. They should be writing about the new arms taking over at Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State as there is a lot more to write there and it offers variety, but they love them some Spencer Rattla.

November 20th, in Norman, Iowa State shakes that up if it gets that far. TCU gives them a run the next Saturday, then it's Iowa State again in the Big12 title game.

TCU - nope
Kansas - nope
Texas Tech - nope
Baylor - nope
Iowa State - on the upswing. This game will determine the season
Oklahoma State - rivalry, but nope

Not talking about regular season although they could stub their toe but as you state unlikely. I expect them to be exposed in the playoffs as normal.
Have not followed if there have been changes in coaching staffs or recruiting strategies on D. Changes in those areas would be a sign that Riley is trying to change his approach instead of maintaining the status quo. We know he can score points but he can't slow other teams down especially in the playoffs.
OK has some decent ingredients.....
Them n Clemson ( also decent ingredients) have a cake walk through regular season...
Saw where ohio state has a schedule ranked along as easiest ( second or third in big 10..(.with 14 teams..).

Even though the game is played in Dallas, there is still a home team designated. When Alabama plays Miami in Atlanta, Miami is designated as the home team.
