DeAngelo Hall is giving him hell on ESPN right now. Man, I am sooooooo glad to hear that. He is pissed.

I've got no love for Petrino, but DeAngelo Hall is a tool. ESPN knew he would blast him, so that is why they had him on. I'd much rather hear the opinion of someone like Keith Brooking or Warrick Dunn.

Ask and ye shall receive:

Added veteran linebacker Keith Brooking: "I've been totally committed to Coach Petrino and everything that he brought to the table. That's why I feel betrayed. It goes a lot deeper than just me. It's Mr. Blank and everything that he's given to us. There is anger inside of me because I bought into Coach Petrino and his beliefs and what he was trying to do with this football team. I feel betrayed with the decision that he made."

"We play on Monday night and he's not at the meetings," tailback Warrick Dunn said. "Guys noticed that. We talked about it before the game. Then word gets out this guy might be going to Arkansas. I heard this before the game. To be able to look at him face to face and for him to try and lead you and motivate you is tough.

"He sold us a dream. He put this organization last in his life. He's selfish. He's definitely a liar. One of the things we have hanging in our meeting room is [a sign] 'Finish.' If he wanted to leave, you can at least finish three more games. It's 18 days. You can finish it and say, 'You know what, this wasn't for me.' You can respect that. But to let it go yesterday the way that he did and the disrespectful way that he did it, to me he has no heart."

Looks like Petrino and Franchione graduated from the same school of character.

Brooking also blasted him, as did Lawyer Malloy. ESPN has been all over the guy too though. Pat Forde, who has a history with Petrino, is giving him more hell then I have ever seen a journalist give an individual.

Petrino deserves every bit of it. He was highly despised in the Atlanta organization and had a reputation for treating everyone, not just the players, poorly. I had heard from a source that Blank would likely have let him walk after the eseason if he'd wanted to.

Everything I've ever said about Saban having zero professional integrity I now say about Petrino. And I'm glad that he's not in Auburn.

How does Saban have zero professional integrity?

More importantly how is it any different than a certain big eared coach in West Georgia?

I agree he deserved to be blasted, but I'd rather hear it from someone like Brooking or Dunn than a tool like Hall. It meant NOTHING coming from Hall. It is like Tony LaRussa complaining about another manager doing something stupid.

Moreno, thanks for the quotes. I like both of those guys. Those 2, Smoltz and Brian McCann are the only thing that keep me from razing the Dome and Turner Field.

[By the way, I'm 4 days late responding to both of you, sorry about that, if you even see this.]
