One of the best to ever play the game. Nobody would out work or out hustle him. Never fully understood the betting stuff. Sad that he went that way and never recovered. Just for what he did on the baseball field he should be in the HOF.
Charlie Hustle. That nickname was well deserved. Talk about playing with passion and giving 110%. Got to meet him once, not an overly friendly guy. But man could he play.

He was offered ways to get back in the good graces of MLB, which would have almost surely landed him a spot in Cooperstown years ago, but he was too stubborn to get on board. I do think he will get in now, at least while some of his teammates are alive.
HoF is deserving for what he did for his playing years. MLB needs to let the pettiness go!!
The guy was what baseball was supposed to be, wide ass open and 100% effort every moment.
In fairness to MLB, some of his former teammates had deals worked out with the Commissioner's office that would have given him a path into the HOF, but Rose refused to cooperate and basically wanted to be a martyr. I do think he deserves to be in the HOF though, and it'll happen, thanks in part to the support of those same teammates.
