Nick Saban is the only measurement you need as far as coaching. When he stuck with Pete then you have to know Pete is good.

Nick's mistake was moving Tosh to DC because he didn't want to lose Tosh as a recruiter and the move to DC for more money had to happen or someone else was going to pay the guy. The loss of Pruitt set us back recruiting ILBers and it showed just as soon as that 2018 bunch left. JMO but the loss of Mack Wilson (going early even as a middle rounder) hurt as much as anybody from the 2018 team. I believe it cost Mack a truckload of money but he and his family knew best.

It appears the stable has been stocked at ILB. It's the Indian and not the arrows.

Need to see the game day D improvement/dominance and then I will remove my conditional support. I know dominance will be evaluated differently than the past but can we see improvement with the ppg/ypg not to 2011 days but somewhere in between then and now? I know I may be dreaming these days but I hope not.

JMO but Bama's defensive staff is Top Shelf. There is a mix of young and old and the Master himself.

Saban has addressed that several times in recent months that The day of dominating on Defnese is long gone... if we keep team scoring under 21 points, it's a win for the defense. Expectations of the fan probably need to be adjustments. We will have several instance of games where scores will be over 21 points.

These Co-ordinators get credit....
But players arent coming to bama because of a coordinator..... because...for 1 reason.....if they are good...they dont stay long?..
Bama...n Nick....are the reason ....

Go watch our unorganized D.....and dont look past talent...
But...if Nick likes a coordinater...and want to keep a coordinator...

I know that is what he has said and he knows more than I will ever know but I still would like to see improvement. Not expecting 2011 #'s but how about meet me somewhere in the mid teens and sub 300 ypg? I know I am probably dreaming these days but still doesn't keep me from hoping for it.

Better defense means.....How can I get ILB'er that can shutdown the run as well as run with elite receivers across the field and where can I find elite DL that can push the pile and give the QB's less time to beat my ILBers. (this all assumes you have really talented players at the other defensive positions. Closing the amount of time the QB gets is so important.

Not easy to do that against Spread offense with a mobile QB.

He showed some big time improvement last year.... In regards to recruiting, has there been a lead assistant that hasn't done well in that area since CNS has had it rolling?? Seems like Saban and the program kind of sell itself
