I've never seen big news come from a guy in his position. PFFCollege has retweeted his tweet as "Breaking News..." so it'll be everywhere pretty soon...and by everywhere I'm not suggesting we'll see MSM pick it up; just a lot of fan sharing. (Ryan Fowler retweeted it as well.)
You would think those two would of came here before Texas and Oklahoma. It really doesn't matter at this point, I have heard everything there is to hear regarding all the teams wanting to come to the SEC. Including North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Duke, Virginia and the occasional Southern Miss a while back. Next we will hear Notre Dame.
Don't worry, Clemson and Florida State football fans. Your beloved teams have not reached out to the SEC about joining their conference in realignment.
If true, which I doubt, Dabo probably fought hard against it and who can blame him? As it is in the ACC at this time, he only has to play, at most, a couple of tough games each season and be assured a spot in the playoffs. He then uses all of the remaining cupcake games preparing for Bama.
GOR issues aside Dabo would have to be duct taped to a Clydesdaleās ass and be dragged kicking and screaming into the SEC. not sure how many coaches have power of veto on conference moves but almost guaranteed that Dabo does
Sources close to Clemson are saying this is a false report. And I tend to think it is because of the contract the ACC has with its members. I think this thing runs through 2035 +/- . It would cost these schools such a hugh amount of money to leave the ACC, that it wouldn't be feasible.
