šŸˆ Out of the five P5 conferences, give me the most over rated teams for 2022.

Mike Shula Settled down things at Bama...from previous HCs..
This is simply not the case with Shula. He merely maintained a program that was on poor footing when he took the job and in some ways was worse than DuBose.

Struggle season....10-3
2005, Alabama. That was not a good football team. It's a great example of why reaching a 10 win mark isn't what it used to be.

That team had one decent coach and he was past his prime: Joe Kines.

Clemson hate runs deep...coached by a good ole country boy and bama player.
There is no hatred of Clemson. There is no "good ole country boy" at the helm there either. You will find someone who fits the mold of a guy with a 30 minute, paid program, on Sunday morning TV who's buying an eight ball as soon as the cameras are off.

I don't hate Clemson like that. The difference between you and me is that I'm pretty neutral about teams in CFB. There is no team I hate with Passion. It's just a football.

DJ lost weight and He looks better, and has little spin on his throwing to receivers, but he's still making the same mistakes. Cade beating him out for the starting job? I don't think We've seen Dabo do that, benching a starting QB? He's not going to do that. He'll give DJ every chance... summer and fall to keep his job.
Where are you getting this idea that this is a very good team?
There are question marks at QB, WRs, OL. Shoot, the OL got owned by Defense at Spring game. I mean 1st and 2nd team got owned by defense. Offense is very conservative and they will play to not to lose. This is old Bama offense of 2011 minus the elite players.

now, Defense... They're solid. Good. Can compete and should be in top 15 in some stats...
Name I've heard : KJ Henry and Xavier Thomas. Both are DE. That's pretty much it. DL, LB and Secondary... they're solid, but Not good enough to where they are going to shut down the run/pass plays.

This season I will go out on limb and say that This is the team that will try and win with Defense. Offense can't just muster up 30-40 points on consistent basis each week. It's not going to be that with DJ and I don't see Cade doing that.

CLemson is a 2-4 losses team. Only way they get in playoff if they win all of the game or has 1 loss. anything over that, it's a wrap.
You have done a lot of homework on Clemson.... some just using their ill feeling on them...
Error though
1..."i dont think we have seen Dabo do that...benching a starting QB". Well we actually have....benched (senior )Bryant in favor of (freshman) Lawrence...went on to a NC...
2....good team or ACC good team... no team on schedule with exception of possibly ND be favored over them...( because its ND and at ND)....
3....@wake and ncState...are only other top 25 teams and games...
So "2-4 losses"....i guess we will see...@Wake sure could be a test...and loss of both coordinators is a bitch...
4...."shoot the oline got owned by the defense" its not unusal for Ds to own offense in spring games...happens mot every year at bama...
Offense is usually missing key player...game plan is vanilla...and QBs wear black no contact( so no escape) ...

I agree...2 or more losses probably push them out of CFPs since no 2 loss team has made CFPs...might survive with 1 loss...according tp what happens elsewhere ....

Struggle season....10-3
Wonder if tennessee/ florida etc would like to havesuch awfu struggle

Dabo beat Bama/Saban twice..has 2 NCs.....be a long time of really crap seasons... ( 10-3 aint crap).......before he is on hot seat...if ever...which is doubtful....

Clemson will return to CFPs....very soon

Florida and Tennessee would kill for Clemson's schedule any given year.

2....good team or ACC good team... no team on schedule with exception of possibly ND be favored over them...( because its ND and at ND)....
You know me and playing the odds...I won't go that far.

Last year the over hit about 50% of the time and it was due, largely, to the Clemson defense allowing more points than expected. They were favored in every game except one last year (Pitt +3½) where they lost by 10 I believe. That game did open with CU -½, but by kick it had moved four points.

My point exactly....and 2022 should be favored in all...

But surprised they were favored vs UGA

Oh my goodness @TerryP ....
He took over a program on probation....severe probation...
A program where ....
1...stalling team accused and punished for violating rules....( i still dont believe stalling was guilty of anything..but forfeited games)
2..Dubose team found guilty of violating rules and put on probation...2 years of no bowls....and multiple schollys lost...
And Dubose had extramarital affair futher embarrassing bama...
3...Coach fran...left in middle of nite ( without meeting with team)...said the program was to severely handicapped by ncaa...but wasn't really a bama man
4..and then there was the stripper and sex scandal with mike price...

Then in comes family man...bama hero...great coaching name...tall...good looking....young .....Mike Shula...
..no baggage...
..nothing with any previous involvements..

Bama was looking for a savior...he provided all he could...
Handicapped by no spring with team...and having a total different offensive philosophy than Price
Handicapped...by bama being a place to be avoided by future assistants...
Handicapped by 2 of Prices assistants were his sons...and they had to go
Handicapped by sanctions...lack oftalent....sour environment
So...he did all he could

I was around program and the feeling was Shula was our savior...
Was to much for an inexperienced coach...It took a Nick Saban...to fnally
get it done....but Shula had recruited some really good players...that were PART of the cornerstone of 2008/2009 teams

2005 was a GOOD...football team...not GREAT...but very good
..got to #3 in polls...had LSU on the ropes...but let it get away...blew out Florida...but...lost Prothro.....and that was davasting to rest of season.....but was able to pull out big win...in Cotton Bowl Vs texas tech...and mike Leach

2006...was very poor....no argument there

OC and coaching staff was very mediocre...( at best) and needed upgrading...and Shula wouldnt agree to it...
Kines was fair...( in my opinion...not very good in game coach)..

You Dabo dislike shows.....Outstanding accomplishments vs a little grand standing... maybe he has earned that right...
..walk on...on future nc team
..national championship ring as player
..2 nc rings as coach
..6 appearances in cfps as HC

Every SEC team but 1 Would sacrifice a vigin for such

Only Saban has better
