You don't like Clemson at all, do you? This isn't the first time I've seen you criticize them this year.ACC - Clemson
I don't like Clemson to win the ACC as easily as they're forecasted in this case. You don't like Clemson at all, do you? This isn't the first time I've seen you criticize them this year.
Go through Wake and NCState....wow...what a hill to climb....( sarcasm should be noted)....I don't like Clemson to win the ACC as easily as they're forecasted in this case.
Taking last season and looking ahead I see SEC folks tending to look at NC State through the lens of their game with Mississippi State. As a comparison it's like Bama looking at '07, going into '08, and noting how close the losses were that year. NC State was four points away from an 11-1 season last year and playing for a playoff spot/ACC title.
Statistically that team improved over all. Over all isn't hyperbole; literally 28 different metrics on both sides of the ball improved (cited in a '22 preview.)
Clemson will have to go through Wake (division winner last year) and NC State to win the Atlantic.
A hill you'll die on if you don't look closer at both teams: both of whom finished above Clemson last season.Go through Wake and NCState....wow...what a hill to climb....( sarcasm should be noted)....
Last season....clemsons QB just didnt pan out.....for the season..( but did finish strong).but look for a major improvement....all way around...A hill you'll die on if you don't look closer at both teams: both of whom finished above Clemson last season.
A 10 win season isn't what it used to be but none-the-less it's a solid season.Last season....clemsons QB just didnt pan out.....for the season..( but did finish strong).but look for a major improvement....all way around...
DABO will have em back....but was still a pretty nice season for them
Ok....pointing to reasons....A 10 win season isn't what it used to be but none-the-less it's a solid season.
DJ finishing strong? I suppose we can say that if we dismiss the two TD to four INT ratios in the last four games or the fact he was under 50% completion rate in two of those four games.
130 D1 teams and DJ finished in the bottom third last season. In their scrimmage he didn't look any better than last season and that's not just my opinion: Clemson fans are echoing that following their scrimmage.
I appreciate you being steadfast in your opinion. I'd appreciate it even more if you could point to a reason why.
They certainly need improvement on offense and at the QB position. They need that to contend to win their division: NC talk is premature. As I mentioned in earlier conversations they're in need of WR's (a roster full of Z receivers is far from ideal.)O overall
& QB position....gotta improve before they are a valid NC contender ...loss of OC...so will see....
******and DABO....record...( 2 NChampionships ...both vs Saban and Bama...if he never wins anything else he has those 2)....2022 critical games@ ND and @clemson for Miami & @Wake
You buy all this?
The need offensive linemenThen we add things like his adamant stance against the portal (where he could really pick up a few guys, receivers coming to mind)

Keep his staff together....ur joking obviously.....I just don't see it at all. It all comes down to the fact that Dabo wasn't able to keep all his staff like he has said in the past. I think ...many have seen the writing on the wall & took off. And lets be frank, Venables had more to do with Clemson's success over the years than Dabo. I fully expect to see a different team this season.
It IS a lot about DABO n his record....like its SABAN n his...Give the HCs the credit..They certainly need improvement on offense and at the QB position. They need that to contend to win their division: NC talk is premature. As I mentioned in earlier conversations they're in need of WR's (a roster full of Z receivers is far from ideal.)
It's the loss of both OC's, not just one. And then there's the personnel that's left other than Venables.
It's interesting you mention Dabo and his record because that's the very thing I've been pointing to for the last year: Dabo feels it's all about Dabo. His support staff and leadership is no longer in Clemson. (That's not an opinion I arbitrarily came up with...it was shared by folks who used to be at UA and are no longer at Clemson.)
Then we add things like his adamant stance against the portal (where he could really pick up a few guys, receivers coming to mind) along with his stance against the NIL. Kids are listening.
The loss of Thad Turnipseed will hurt more than most fans outside of Clemson realize. He held that "Clemson is a carnival full of fun" MO together.
We've seen Brandon Streeter work with DJ since he arrived at Clemson. His play has only digressed. Now Streeter is in charge of the QB's and the offense?
When the over/unders come out for the fall I expect Clemson to be at 10. I won't touch that. If it hits 10½ or higher I'm in for a unit.
While it's nothing to "bank on," Clemson fans aren't, in the least, encouraged by what they've seen this spring. DJ played/practiced this spring the same way he played last year: INT prone, poor decisions, and his accuracy has them worried.
You're missing the point here, drastically. Saban doesn't believe the programs success is all because of him. See how often he's talked about guys like Lane and the changes that brought to Tuscaloosa. Or his admiration, respect, and reliance on Pete Jenkins or Joe Pendry. It IS a lot about DABO n his record....like its SABAN n his...Give the HCs the credit..
I don't like Dabo anywhere around the Alabama program. I could care less about other areas where he's been measured and found wanting: but I won't.Big difference here is...simply....you dont like DABO....i do like the walk on from AL...that played for Stallings...and my personal attachment to Clemson
