I know the Florida thing didn’t turn out great for him, but that’s been a pitfall job for several since Meyer left… no shame in that. He was a pretty damn good OC for Saban though. I had thought he’d have stayed at Colorado State longer… seemed like a good spot for him, but it all worked out I guess.

His time at BAMA was the pinnacle of our success, to me. Saban came in and totally changed college football in the SEC and the Nation in my opinion. Back to back Natt’s. Coached a Heisman winner.

His make your ass quit policy and only excepting excellence as the bare minimum. And with superior talent was awesome to behold. Especially after all the scenarios that held BAMA back in the 80’s and 90’s ( we all know about ā€˜92) early 2000’s.

All this is before i think we got entitled and always expected to win it all every year. The excitement was off the charts compared to like after 2015.
