Obviously we are all waiting on Alabama vs Wisky kickoff Saturday evening.

Other than that what games interest you the most on opening weekend?

I will watch the Cockys vs the Tarheels tonight just to see Spurrier on the sidelines and because it is football.

I am a bit intrigued by the A&M vs ASU game Saturday. Want to see how much Chief Chavis has fixed the A&M defense and also want to see how the A&M receiver corp looks early on.

Passing interest to see how tosu performs against VTech. There are some rumblings about the VT defense and they may make it at least interesting again this year.

UNC's defense will get better with Chizik, I'll be flipping between that and the TCU game tonight when I get home.

Agree with you on TAMU, reports I've heard is that the TAMU defense loves the new scheme, easier to understand to what they had before.

Good call, I forgot about TCU and the Gophers also playing tonight. I kind of love/hate the Gophers. never forgiven them for that Music City bowl in '04 but I think their coach is a throwback and pretty decent.

Yeah I have publicly wondered how much Chavis has left in the tank but reports are he has brought some new energy with him to that defense

There are actually several good games this weekend.
To me it seems like sort of a let down compared to previous seasons.

Bama v. Wiskey
Auburn v. Louisville

Texas v. ND, but mostly for the history between the programs, Texas is still garbage.

There's a lot I'm looking forward to seeing like what Michigan looks like, how ASU performs (my pick to win the PAC12).... but overall I think the matchups are a little down this year.

I will be interested in how Chavis and Muschamp do as DCs in a new environment. I don't doubt the ability of either guy to scheme a defense, but both squads were deficient in tackling last year as well. Can those problems be fixed in one spring plus fall camp? My thought is that both of those defenses will be better but not yet good.
