Seven losses which you've pointed out and all of them are not the result of the kicking game, or special teams.
Fluke? Or unfortunate break in the game? Yeah, that's more like it along with some officials who weren't calling the games correctly. LSU this past season. Or, OLmen 10 yards down field against Auburn. Or, Malzahn playing with substitution rules. The Ole MIss loss with freak plays like the ball coming off of...was it Kenyan's foot?
I do feel the Kick 6 game the kicking game failed us. How many field goals were missed, three (44, 33, and 44). Not even counting the last one because it was so long. I personally feel 45 yards and less should be an 80% make for a D1 scholarship athlete. 46 and higher I would drop to probably 50% ( a low percentage just to help them out a tad). We recruit the best everywhere, so we should have a kicker held to the same expectation as we do a quarterback, running back, linebacker, or defensive lineman. Make one of those field goals and we win. The last two misses ended with two Auburn touchdowns. We could pinpoint a Yeldon fumble or a defensive breakdown, but Yeldon still had ~140 yards and a touchdown, and the defense played decent from my memory, but our kickers did nothing with a few opportunities.
That's how I feel about that one game atleast. I may not be right, but that's just how I see it.
