šŸˆ OT: This will be awesome (winter storms) if it happens (Attention Gulf Coasters)

Not really. This year has been really bad, though. A normal winter, we might have one occasion of mid-twenties. This January, we have already had 5 or 6, including one night at 16 degrees. Forecasters are predicting 16 degrees tonight I have an RV (Motorhome), that I don't normally winterize. This year I had to do the whole thing with RV anti-freeze. I lived in Denver, South Korea, and England during my military career. Thought I retired in Florida to get rid of the cold temps. Hopefully this will be the last bad one this year.

Yikes. Those are some cold places. You deserve some sunshine. Thank you for your service!

Apparently a politician from Leeds is saying that the state will reimburse costs of any towing?! That's awesome!

so they can reimburse you for any towing, but they can't get those kids and teachers out of that school and back to their houses? pathetic.

there are kids and teachers stuck at a school and they've been there for 2 straight days. yet, with all the 4x4s in this state nobody has gotten them out yet. or even city vehicles with chains that haven't been used yet.

SOP. Throw money at an issue rather than address and fix it when it's occurring.

We screw up BBQ way worse. Just sayin. I weep for the lack of delicious ribs and pulled pork up here ..

Fortunately it shouldn't be like this til next Jan. At least that is for the cold spell. I doubt we will even get more snow/sleet next year. This is probably a once in a lifetime ,if not at least a generation thing.

they FINALLY got them home.

the news said the police and fire/rescue finally "got to them" to get them out and take them home. i'm glad they got those children and teachers home finally, but my question is, "what the hell took them so long"?

But, no one can touch those cheese steaks.

Oh man .. John's, Jim's, Tony Luke's, Shank's, Dealessandro's .. I'm partial to Shank's myself. I won't touch that slop Pat's or Geno's makes, it's just one big tourist trap. Also come try our roast pork sandwiches .. John's is second to none in that department.

But nothing compares to the deliciousness of real, honest to God southern food. Sweet lord do I miss it ..

Sounds like its time to plan another road trip.

Went to work Tuesday to vacant home I am renovating in Mount Laurel. Roads were quickly closed down so I had to walk from Mt Laurel to Inverness to my Dads house (7 miles). Made it to my kids finally last night, Riverchase was a nightmare with car pile ups that are still blocking our subdivision access. Ill never look at Dustings the same :no-no:
