šŸˆ OT: This will be awesome (winter storms) if it happens (Attention Gulf Coasters)

I second that.
Snow SUCKS.
The ONLY time I ever wanna see it is when I open my freezer for a steak. But unlike you lucky US citizens, who have the option to get away from it and move to Vegas, Florida, or somewhere where humans are meant to live, we Canadians are forced to bend over for it and take hard every year. I shoulda married American. LOL.
And WHY any American would choose to live in arctic regions like Michigan or Wisconsin :icon_scratch: when they could be rolling in warmth in Vegas or Tampa is beyond me.
:smiley-confused-pur

My boyfriend just relocated from California (Northern California, so not the warm beachy part, but still) to Chicago. I can't even comprehend that :taz:

Sochi has a subtropical climate. Still baffles my mind as to how they are hosting a WINTER Olympics there. It has palm trees! Average January and February temperatures there are 50 ..

Going way off topic :)

Last numbers I saw, it was around $51B to host the Olympics in Sochi. Vancouver was ~$7B, Salt Lake City $2B.

Think the IOC got any kickbacks...

It still hasnt snowed here but they claim it will. It snowed back in 08 or 09 and it actually stuck for a day. That was the first time I got to witness snow on the ground since I was really small.

lol I like it when we get it for a day... and then Im ready for it to go the hell away. Our whole town literally shuts down for snow, we have no idea how to act. I think pretty much every school south of Montgomery is shut down tomorrow.

I got back home from work this morning around 2:30 or so, did my daily exercise bit for about an hour at 3 or so. It was 60. Around 8 or so about 40. It's 37 now according to WOD and when I walked outside a few minutes ago I could feel a mist in the air, not enough to see though.

Coast of South Carolina for you guys that don't know.

Anyway...I was talking with one of the local news guys last night and he told me we have two snow plows for this area—that's six counties.

I went up to the Pig about an hour ago to grab a pizza from their deli and took a look at the store shelves. Meh...a little bare, no big deal, really.

I should have walked over to the liquor store. I don't need to restock, but I do wonder if their shelves are more bare than those in the grocery store.
