I am a bit of a weather geek and I have been tracking a system that looks to move along the Gulf Coast and possibly deposit a HISTORIC amount of snow on the white, sandy beaches. This is the latest run of the NAM (North American Model):
Here is another view:
We are talking half a foot of snow for places like Mobile, New Orleans and Pensacola. About 8 inches toward Daphne and up to a foot in Dothan. Further south and East, Panama City, Destin and Tallahassee may be dealing with a lot of ICE! This would be the Gulf Coast 100 years storm if it were to occur as modeled.
This is still several days away and a lot can change but this would be awesome for folks that hardly ever get to see snow.
