I agree, he shouldn't have been in the game at that point, but the refs are taking the game out if the player's hands and we all know how quick a game can change. I'm still standing of the mind where there was zero targeting, but whatever, not my team and not my call. I feel like targeting was put in place to protect players against vicious and malicious activity and hits, IE the crack back block away from the ball, aiming for a punter or quarterback after a kick or turnover, and just dirty plays after the ball is gone, not bullcrap like this. It's no coincidence there is national outrage at most of these calls. I don't mind a rule, but enforcing it here is garbage, especially when you look at the penalty towards the player.
