🏈 Only one thing could prevent ESPN's College GameDay broadcast from Alabama-Ole Miss game

After much speculation, it appears Alabama's trip to Oxford will be home to ESPN's College Game Day broadcast.

Show producer Lee Fitting told Paul Finebaum's radio and television audience they'll be at Alabama-Ole Miss on Oct. 4 with one condition. The Rebels need to beat Memphis on Saturday to assure the popular Saturday morning show will go live from the Grove.

ESPN previously announced it was deciding between Alabama-Ole Miss and the Auburn-LSU game set for Auburn.

GameDay has never broadcasted from Ole Miss and would be the first appearance at an Alabama game this season. Three games in 2013 had the GameDay crew on site with the Tide winning twice.

The official announcement is typically made Saturday afternoons, but Ole Miss plays at 6:30 p.m. Memphis is 2-1 with a tight 42-35 loss at No. 11 UCLA in the Tigers' second game.

so would the SEC crew go to the other?

just curious.

I had the same question when I ran across this article.

As near as I can tell the SEC Nation TV broadcast will be on a different site if GameDay is at a SEC school. I saw their announcement yesterday and I can't recall where they said they'd be next weekend: Starkville, maybe?

One thought that crossed my mind this weekend is how fortunate fans of teams in ATL for the SECCG are going to be this season (and the future.) Having this SECN crew covering the game all week should be fun. HOWEVER, image if we had another 2008-2009 scenario where #1 is meeting #2? GameDay and the SECN crew covering a game like that?
