Is it possible that the NCAA is investigating Auburn, rather than Bama, on this issue? They are so hell bent on bringing Bama down to their level, it makes me wonder.

I guess it's possible that the NCAA could turn the tables and look into AU, but I wouldn't hold my breath. (1) I don't know the dynamics of this whole thing, and how much may or may not have been intentional baiting or whatever? Unless someone at BAMA provided some info and then requested the NCAA to look into AU based on some info that they had, then I am not sure how you could attempt to prove that AU was directly behind the incident. It seems complicated and not something the NCAA would want to tackle. (2) I doubt the NCAA is going out of their way to do us any favors.

I don't see anything significant coming from this. If however, BAMA were to get hammered in the future for something that AU could be directly implicated in, I'd wager that BAMA would do everything in its power to crush AU. I would think that after what happened with Foolmer and UT, BAMA wouldn't just sit back and take it in the (you know) again from anyone.
